Description:

The integration of LiDAR technology with mixed reality tools significantly enhances the process of site measurement and terrain analysis. This sophisticated system enables users to effectively place measuring sticks directly within the camera's view, facilitating the accurate assessment of both horizontal and vertical discrepancies between specified points. The resulting measurements include the run, rise, slope, and deflection at a midpoint, making it particularly suitable for tasks such as ditches excavation and drain installation with precise slope control. With the capability to target distances up to 18 feet (6 meters) from a seated position on machinery like backhoes, this device allows for remarkable efficiency. A maximum operating range of 100 meters is achievable due to the device's continuous position updates via the Augmented Reality interface.

Getting Started

<ol>
 <li>Set Origin: Direct the red pointer to your intended target and select "GO". It is crucial to remember that this action places a measuring stick rather than a precision micrometer. Should you need adjustments, the "BACK" button allows for easy corrections.</li>
 <li>Neutral: The measuring stick is now securely fixed yet retains the ability to rotate toward you. This stage provides an opportunity to adjust the "WATER" level using the stepper located in the upper left corner. Observing how the water pools will reveal low spots that may otherwise go undetected, facilitating better marking as it molds around irregular shapes.</li>
 
 <li>Set Length: At this juncture, two additional measuring sticks become active. Adjust them to the desired positions and tap "GO". The dashboard presents a gauge labeled "Ruler" in the upper right corner, which denotes the distance between the two points. The “LENGTH” metric at the bottom left indicates horizontal distance, while “SLOPE” offers angle measurements in degrees. For instance, 0.6 degrees corresponds to 1/8 inch per foot, and 1.2 degrees equates to 1/4 inch per foot. Lastly, the bottom right gauge displays "LEVEL," indicating vertical distance between points.</li>
 
 <li>Neutral: All readings are paused for meticulous inspection and evaluation.</li>
 
 <li>Set Width: Width can be adjusted in either direction relative to the baseline, transforming the “SLOPE” gauge into a measure of “WIDTH.”</li>
 
 <li>Neutral: If necessary, modify the "HEIGHT" using the stepper embedded in the upper right corner, configured to increment by one inch at a time. This system remains positioned above the water level while two gauges in the bottom right reflect “AREA” (in square feet or square meters) and “VOLUME” (in cubic yards or cubic meters).</li>
</ol>
